The RoK-FOR Conference No. 2 displays forest sector potential in renewable energy and clustering
The conference will present the highlights of the Joint Action Plan for interregional cooperation developed within the project. Keynote speakers include i.a. Mr Lucas Janssen from European Commission, Ms. Sandra Hižak from Wood Cluster of Northwestern Croatia, Mr. Stéphane Latour from Xylofutur Pole of Competitiveness and Mr. Dušan Jović from the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water management. In addition to the RoK-FOR regions, keynotes will include e.g. presentations of UNECE/FAO clustering initiative and Western Macedonia bioenergy case (Greece) in BIOCLUS project.
The RoK-FOR conference will offer an opportunity to forest and bioenergy sector stakeholders to learn about the planned joint activities in the RoK-FOR project, about the capacities and expertise available in the network, to find partners and to join in the planning of joint activities of the RoK-FOR project. The Conference is targeted at representatives from:
- forest owners and forest owners’ associations;
- business enterprises and business organisations (e.g. technology consortiums, chambers of commerce, development agencies);
- research and development organisations;
- education and training institutions in the fields of forests, forestry, bioenergy, wood construction and green chemistry;
- local and regional administrations;
- relevant ministries for development of forest sector, bioenergy, construction, spatial planning and bio-economy.
Attendance in the conference is free of charge.
PLEASE NOTE: In addition to the actual Conference day on Thursday 27 October, there will be targeted workshops and meetings arranged back to back to the conference day – note that these events are targeted for special audiences, and the number of seats is limited. It is possible to register for each event separately in the registration form. Please see below for further information on registration.
VENUE: The conference venue will be the Hotel International (Miramarska 24, 1000 Zagreb).
REGISTRATION: Registration to the conference is done with an online registration form. The deadline for registration is Monday 17 October.
