The pellets prices in Germany rose slightly in February 2011. According to reports of the German Association of Energy and Wood Pellet Production (DEPV), the average price was € 241.45 / t.
This is based on the survey made by manufacturers and sellers of wood pellets from Germany. The manager Martin Bentele said: "Consumer Price is an index of reliability for a source of energy. Pellets, despite the cold weather in December 2010 and significant growth of commodity prices remain important to consumers. The slight increase of the pellets price in February didn’t prevent the consumers to buy, because for most of them are indispensable".
