It may seem unusual but a furniture winning product will be produced during an exhibition and in its halls. The dates are between 22nd and 26th of March, 2011 and the place is the International Exhibition TECHNOMEBEL at Inter Expo Centre.
Anyone designing furniture products for mass production could take the challenge. The product will be given as a present to visitors and produced on the spot. The initiator is the company ADP from the city of Smolyan which is willing to demonstrate the wood processing capacity of its CNC machines.
The task of the competition is not easy but is upscale (information on the competition terms is available on http://contest.cherga.org). The name of the designer will be engraved on each product item and in case of production he or she will be paid 10% of each item sold and will be supported to take part in Workshop 2011.
The competition winner and the numerous visitors to TECHNOMEBEL will remember its tenth edition. At least 100 pieces of the winning item will be produced and given as presents during the exhibition. The winner will be announced at the opening ceremony of the most prestigious exhibition in Bulgaria of wood processing, furniture materials and elements TECHNOMEBEL.
Leading companies from Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Romania and other countries the products of which are not only the most demanded today but the modern furniture of tomorrow will meet at the 10th anniversary of the exhibition.
They have been the pattern of innovations in wood processing and furniture production for years. New machines for rough or fine works, advanced technologies, including nano-technology, equipment for small workshops or large industrial companies will help entrepreneurs in the industry to become more flexible, more cost-efficient and competitive on the market.
