In 2010 the export of Russian wood in customs from Far East increased by 40%.
In 2010 the export volume of processed wood products in these customs exceeded 9,4 tons. Is 40% more than in 2009 when the volume of timber exports was 5,6 tons. The export of unprocessed timber is less profitable than the timber business. The timber export growth suggests that in Russia increase the number of enterprises and production lines of advanced wood processing. The structure of export of wood in this region is generally represented by the species of whitewood – pine, larch, spruce. China is importing approximately 70% of wood.
The second importer of Russian timber is Japan, the third – Korea. Small quantities of timber are exported to Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Germany, Hong Kong, India.
