In the third quarter of 2010 export of sawn timber from Russia increased by 13% (up to 4.5 million cubic meters), while the price of timber increased by 6% (up to $ 167 for 1 cubic meter).
The volume and the prices of timber in various countries have evolved differently. Thus, China ‘s timber volume increased by 71% (up to 1.29 million cubic meters) and the average price of wood in this country decreased by 3%(up to $ 139 for 1 cubic meter). Syria and Iran had volume increases by 75 and 72%. And the prices in these countries have increased by 10%. In Germany timber volume decreased by 30% - up to 171,000 cubic meters, in Kazakhstan (44% - up to 128,000 cubic meters), in United Kindom (32% -up to 99,000 cubic meters).
