PRESS RELEASE
Romania, thank to its location in an area with a good solar potential of 210 sunny days per year and with an annual solar energy flux between 1,000 kWh/m2/year and 1,300 kWh/m2/year, represents a great market opportunity for international companies. In order to support the renewable energy development in Romania, the German trade fair and conference organizer - REECO organizes the 3rd edition of RENEXPO® South-East Europe in Palace Hall Bucharest, 24th – 26th November 2010, creating a solar energy meeting point for experts.
Promotion of energy produced from renewable energy sources is a high priority of now-a-days in Romania for reasons of environmental protection, increase the energy independence from imported electricity by getting a wider range of energy sources as well as for other reasons of economic and social cohesion. (According to www.minind.ro)
The legislation supporting the development in this field has been build up. The introduction of “Green Certificates” encourages the industrial development of solar energy and gives a new opportunity for national and international machines and plant builders. Six “Green Certificates”, as much as for no other energy project, are given for each MWh installed. A first foreign investor has recently begun the production of photovoltaic modules in Romania.
Also private households are attracted to use solar energy in order to cover their energy consumption. The “Casa Verde (Green House)” Program including solar energy, biomass and geothermal energy is a great success in Romania. “Subsidies granted to individuals are up to 80 percent of the projects submitted and approved.“, mentioned Laszlo Borbely, Minister of Environment and Forests Romania, regarding the solar energy subsidies.
To support the development and information transfer in solar field in Romania, REECO - Renewable Energy Exhibition and Conference Organiser all over Europe, organizes the 2nd International Conference - Solar Energy in Romania. In the framework of the event there will be discussed themes like: Romanian policies, regulations and standards related to solar energy, photovoltaic cluster in Hungary, new European exigency and the “Active house” concept. Interesting projects like the first “green” local authority in Romania and BIPV - Building integrated Photovoltaics Systems in Romania will be presented. Between the referees of the conference there will be: Martin M. MAYR, Head of Competence Centre Renewable Energies, UniCredit Leasing S.p.A., Attila HORVATH, First Hungarian PV Cluster, Emilia CERNA MLADIN, President, Association of the Energetic Auditors (AAEC) and many others.
Solar energy is also an important trade fair theme at the RENEXPO® South-East Europe 2010, 24th-26th November in Palace Hall Bucharest. Beneath the national exhibitors, international once from Italy, Germany and Hungary have already registered from this field.
