The first public sale of wood of maritime pine after Klaus storm took place last month at Ychoux and it has been characterized by the organizers as being disappointing.
The mares from the forestry villages and the experts were disappointed because many lots had been retired, while the people from the industry need fresh wood.
Nevertheless, for Eric Constantin, commercial manager at the National Office of woods in Landes, this thing does not represent any news. He explains his affirmation by the fact that this public sale has attracted many curios people, between them, the Spanish people that came to see first of all the standard price. Indeed, this sale has been compared to an observation tour.
