Seeds of European larch purchased in Poland have been planted in the fertile Belarusian land since 2003. And today, in Ivatsevichski`s forestry arboretum this breed not only hurried to grow, but also was covered with red cones - the flowering time. Last year, in this region have been founded forest plantations on an area of one hectare. It is important to remember that the main objective was to bring the plantation of larch to1% of the forest fund. Many forestry which had been convinced of commercial importance of this breed will allocate it more land. And there is also such nice notice: it was demonstrated that larch trees enter into fast process of flowering. This is a very good prospect in terms of getting by self the seeds. Meanwhile, Belarus is forced to buy valuable larch seeds abroad.
