IKEA has reported total sales amounted to 104.7 million euros in the year 2008 and recorded a total of 3 million visitors.
The month with the biggest sales was September, after the new catalog: 9.4 million and over 275,000 visitors.
Sales of furniture represented 60% of total sales recorded by IKEA and the remaining 40% represented sales of accessories and interior decorations.
The most sold items of furniture were PaX lockers (over 27,600 units), kitchen FAKTUM buildings (20,300 units), the modular shelving systems (19,900 units) and the range of KLIPPAN products (sofas, chairs) with 2,500 units sold.
Category of accessories and decorations inside the products were sold and pilotele cushions, lamps and economic products IKEA 365 + range.
IKEA Romania maintains the same objectives for 2009. "We and our customers equally require the same high demands regarding the quality-price ratio," said Cornel Oprisan.
IKEA is present in Romania through Altrom Group, owned by Radu Dimofte and Gabriel Popovici.
